Well its summer time and the rose festival is in full swing in portland Oregon. This week is Fleet Week, bringing in 13 ships.
I contacted various connections to see about flying as they come up the river....
Ended up with a "i cant tell you not to fly, but implement extreme caution if you do so."
I was told that there is a 500yrd buffer zone and with the navy not knowing what actions I'm pursuing with the drone it could be seen as a threat and they will use force to protect the assets.
Which is deff understandable and I'm not mad about it. Better safe then sorry. Just thought id share. Before someone else in portland or any other area with fleet week tries to go out and fly. [emoji106]
