Well, thanks in large part to the people on this message board, I've been able to not only pick the right platform (Phantom 2) but also navigate my way to proper operation without a safety incident, fly-away or other adverse flight behavior. Wanted to share my first video. It's short. Really happy to hear comments, criticisms, or suggestions.

Shot entirely from a DJI Phantom 2
Zenmuse H32D Gimbal
Go Pro Hero 3+

Edited with GoPro Studio
Music by Keef Hartley Band, 1971 (Yeah, it does sound a bit of an early porno track...)

Great video! I guess this is yet another use of a UAV - surveying situations like this without placing human lives in danger.

Thanks for sharing!

What configuration you used with the GoPro camera.. ¿protune? beauty colors..!
I just got the same camera and Phantom ... I'll just fly over the weekend to make the first shots...Your tips are welcome.

Very nice job. I'm guessing this wan't your first go round with GoPro Studio.

Thanks. Thiswas my first time using Go Pro Studio. I've played around a bit with Premier Pro (2.0) in the past though.

Thanks for having a look and taking time to comment Alex.

The footage was shot in 1080 at 60fps. This allowed me to reduce frame rate on a couple of the clips down to 29fps. Slow motion with good clarity. Made a few very minor changes to contrast, sharpness, etc. on each of the clips. It was a stormy, cloudy day with intermittent rain.
