First car rally shoot

Great video! It must be a challenge to keep the vehicles in the frame when they're moving so much faster than the camera platform.

Was that an E30 BMW I saw rallying Caswell style? Impressive shooting for lack of FPV and embarrassingly better than my car tracking abilities with an FPV (see vid below). My only thought is it's probably better to stay off the line just a bit until the car passes in case the Phantom dips or has an issue.

No FPV? You did a great job with the tracking, especially if you were just estimating the framing.

No FPV!

The drivers loved the video. They wanted more close ups, it shouldn't be too hard if I'm close to a sharp turn.

Love that track. Rolled a WRX there once. Coming out of Talladega just before Magic Mountain, I lifted so I wouldn't hit the guy in front (he was in an E46, but I had a better line and I was gaining on him), got loose, hit the dirt and rolled over completely landing right side up. Walked away unscathed. Wife never let me back out...that was in 2005.
