So right now Im in the process of upgrading the firmware and I was wondering if its upgrading. I get 4 short audible beeps followed by a pause. And the lights are solid red in the front and flashing yellow in the rear. Is that right?

Per DJI's installation instructions, solid red means the firmware installation failed. Mine continued alternating between red and green until the update completed. At that point, the light was solid green.

If its solid red while updating, your saying that it has already failed?

I'm saying the DJI instructions say a solid red light means the update failed -- and, you should try again. The TXT file on the memory card should confirm that failure though.

When my update completed, the light was solid green and it sounded like D-DD, D-DD...

This refers to the small led on the front of the camera mount. Not the LEDs on the arms. Re/green updating, steady green = done.

FRBEAR, correct. Sorry for the confusion.

The light on the camera should alternate between red and green during the update. Disregard the color of the lights on the arms.
