Firmware update problem

Hi All,
Nice to meet you,

This is my first post on here and I have just purchased my first P2V ( so please excuse if I'm not up to speed with the lingo )
Since I received my P2V over a week ago I haven't had chance for my first flight yet as it's not exactly been good weather here in the South West U.K.

I was hoping someone may be able to help with a problem. I have updated the latest Firmware on the P2V which ended well with it saying ' Update Successful', but I can't get the Assistant Software to recognise the Controller in any way shape or form.
I separated the Controller and plugged in the Micro USB, turned on the Controller....Nothing. Tried another cable still nothing, tried turning Controller on and off, computer on and off still nothing.
I would be very grateful for any suggestions.

have you installed the DJI Drivers on your PC?

Did you download the RC Assistant software for the controller (Phantom RC Assistant Software v1.0). It's a separate program from the Phantom 2 Vision Assistant Software v1.08 that updates the bird.

Thank you very much for your speedy replies ( I had not installed either DOH !!! )

I am now looking forward to my first flight hope the video footage turns out half as good as all you guys.
