Watched many youtube videos on updating firmware for the inspire and most seem to do this with the tablet on with the pilot app open including retailers saying they prefer to do it this way even tho dji state to do the upgrade with the controller off. Dji state in the instructions to preform the update with the controller off and check the upgrade status after by plugging the memory card back into the computer and to see if it states successful.

Does anyone have any thoughts on why dji state to do the upgrade with the controller of yet so many say its better to do it with it on. Seems better to me to do it on with the app open so you can see what's going on, but don't want to do it this way if there is a good reason dji suggest you don't.

If it works both ways, which it clearly does, pick the one you like and go with it.

I just updated my phantom 3. The battery has still 4 LED's. What should I do? Discharge it?
