I am thinking about upgrading the motors and ESC of the Phantom 2 to the V2 standards.
I am currently running V2.0 firmware and have no intention of upgrading(downgrading) to V3.0x. Does anyone know if the upgrading to the new motors and ESC will require an upgrade of the firmware to properly function?

Also consider upgrading to the 9450 props (instead of the 9443 or smaller ones that came stock over the last year or so).

Thanks for the info. I already have the 9450 props on. No issues with flight but more power and efficiency can never hurt. I just don't want to upgrade firmware from v2. Don't want reduced speed, flight restrictions (disagree on nanny principle) and even slower descend speed.
