I took these photos at my country club fireworks. I didn't use any lenses and I haven't edited them yet.

The ones that illuminate the ground are pretty cool.
They're all pretty cool, but I'm not sure what editing is needed, or what it would add...anybody?

I've had fair success by moving it to my pc (duh!), and opening the file with stock or generic stuff, like picture viewer.
From their, open edit and just mess with light, contrast, tone, midtone, shadow, hue, etc., until you come up with something you like.
You don't have to keep any changes to the original, it's good practice and you can get some unusually good results.
There's no right or wrong, it doesn't even have to look natural. I've done some things that would look hideous to some, but I love it.
My pc is a piece of crap and I can get good stills this way.

Thank you, my girlfriend hated it because it's not natural looking, but art or creativity is seldom natural.
For other newbs as myself, we all have to cross this point at sometime and seldom ask for direction.
So, don't take this as an insult to your intelligence, but this is my basic method.
Hook your card reader to your pc (I don't know squat about apple).
Create a file on your pc with a unique name.
Open the flash drive holding the pics.
Drag and drop, or SAVE TO to move the pics to the folder.
Open each pic, then right click and RENAME. I make a name that fits.
Once open, you should see at the top the EDIT bar.
Do it.
You'll open up a different screen with basic tools available, try everything.
I like to increase the size to see small detail changes, and back out for overall looks.
Take your time and increase and decrease all the settings to see what they do,
Look carefully around for other options to try and max em out.
Crop, resize, light, dark shadows, go crazy, you don't have to keep anything.
Many will snear and laugh, as they are light years ahead, but some will try it.
Hope you do and post your results. We're here to help each other.

I"m a reporter for Consumer Reports doing a story about drones and fireworks.
I'm on deadline but it'd be tremendous if I could do a brief phone interview today (friday) with a member who's actually used a drone to photograph fireworks.
My email is [email protected]

Thanks in advance.

I'm planning to take pictures and/or video at a local fireworks display tomorrow night. This will be my first time doing it. The camera isn't designed to be used for night photos so I know they won't be perfect. I believe I'll get better results with video. Either way will it will be fun and different for me.
