When i film with the gopro at dusk time, the lights from the phantom give a very red light around the two top corners, i know the easy fix is to point the camera down more, but for the shots i need it needs to more or less horizontal, does anybody else have this problem and any fixes?

Thank you

The simplest fix is to cut a trapezoid out of duct tape and apply the long edge to the back portion of the lens assembly to create a DIY lens hood.

It works well.

You can also use a lens filter holder with a clear UV lens. That acts as a lens hood as well.

Thank you so much that is a great idea and yet so simple! will defiantly be trying that out for tomorrow's flight

Thank you!

or use tape (I prefer black gaffers tape) to cover up the lights in the first place.
or perhaps blue painters tape, both are easy to remove
