FC40 has the camera with 2.4ghz wifi and a 5.8ghz rc. The other has no camera and 2.4ghz rc

Flip your phantom upside down.
Check the model number. 1.1.1

The only difference is what the previous poster mentioned.

The fc40 comes with Naza 2.0.0 instead of 1.1.1. This is not a massive difference, but it's significant if you plan to install a gimbal. 2.0.0 makes it much more plug and play.

Phantom v1.1.1 comes with Naza V2... I know because I have Phantom 1.1.1

Phantom v1.1.1 comes with Naza V2... I know because I have Phantom 1.1.1

I'd been under the impression that they didn't. I must be speaking to people with older phantoms then. In that case, then there isn't much difference in p1 and fc40.
