Fc 40 transplant

Just curious if someone have tried transplanting the fc40 components to a smaller size frame like a 250 or possibly a 450-500 size quad kit.

A few on here have done this on a F450 frame, I moved my Naza from a FC40 and was going to swap the Motors and esc's but went with a E300 set. You can use the rc receiver from the Phantom also.

Ive seen some f450 frames for so cheap out there, will i be able to just move everything to it (of course wiring length adjustments too) and slap a bigger battery for longer flight times?
