fc 40 gps antenna mod ??

Hello all hope this don't sound stupid but here goes ... can a antenna or mod be done to get better gps connections

Yes. There's a thicker GPS antenna available. See

Not sure on the 40 but doing the foil mod might help . It did on other phantoms .

YA you can do either the up graded thicker antenna mod to the FC40 or any phantom model and the foil mod also or both. Only thing to is with the fc40 you will just know your getting gps locks faster if you get the steady green led telling you its ready to take off. Tho being you have no telematry on the fc40 you will not be able to see the increased number of gps satellites it is picking up.

thanks guys,also whats the thoughts on prop guards ,I have done a few mods on my fc40 I have installed a gimble using stock camera ,I changed to 9450 props anywat not to worried about the gps mod I have 6 sat hook ups this site has been very helpful thanks
