Fatshark Trinity headtracker

Hi, once again I am brand new to all of this. Could someone please tell me what exactly the Fatshark Trinity headtracker controls; the gimbal, or if one can control the flight of the quadcopter (in this case the Phantom 2)?

The gimbal all the HT units I've seen are for a plane or big Multi rotors .
