I'm using a Black Pearl 7" FPV Diversity Rx 5.8 with SMA antenna port. Bought the fatshark SpiroNet SMA and needed to add and SMA-RPSMA adaptor in order to install the antenna.

Is there any difference in output or receiving power of the the black (sma) and grey (rp-sma) FatShark SpiroNet 5.8GHz Antenna

black (sma)

grey (rp-sma)

Possible to use it with a SMA-RPSMA adaptor or it's more advisable to return and reorder a grey fatshark (rp-sma)

Plz advise.. Thanks a bunch! :D

I think the only difference is the connector on the end. If you're using a ImmersionRC TX and a Black Pearl RX you're going to need an adapter either way. Which antenna set you buy SMA or RP-SMA only determines if you need the adapter on the RX or TX end. I was in the same position you are in now and had to order an adapter for my BP. This is what you will need.

So there is nothing adverse with using an adapter at either the Tx end or Rx end when you are speaking of RP-SMA vs SMA?
And all i need is one adapter Female RP-SMA to Female SMA?
Do you know what polarization is the DJI AVL58?
