"Failed to reset password. Please try again" in battery settings

Hi, I'm a total newbie to the Phantom 4 Pro Plus. I'm finding my way round the complexities of the controller menus and just tried to set the aircraft critical battery warning and low battery warning levels. All I got was the message "Failed to reset password. Please try again." (!!!) I am already logged into my account from the controller.

Can anyone help? From my short experience with this drone it seems to have a ridiculous dependency on logging in for every darn thing!
 
Sorry to have bothered: I have the solution: the drone needs to be on as well as the remote controller. Fair enough, but the error message is totally inappropriate!
