FAA registration and form AC Form 8050-1

I just registered mine online took just minutes. About same time as doing the hobby registration. Registered both ways now just awaiting my 333!

Do they issue you an N number online or do you still have to wait weeks for them to process your electronic applicaiton?

They issued a random reg number it's not in the n format and was instant

Well having dealt with the FAA numerous times in the past year and since I put my 'paper' application in the mail yesterday...they'll probably crash and burn if I try for an online reg. using the same SN.
