Excellent C-Span video of Senate Committee hearing on commercial drones

Just watched a very interesting and informative committee hearing replay on c-span and posted the video from their site. Not your typical boring senate hearing!

If you skip the first hour, it's almost tolerable. Corey Booker (D-NJ) was the only Senator who asked meaningful questions. Meanwhile Ed Markey (D-MA) couldn't be more paranoid there will be a $100 drone outside of his window recording him watching internet porn.

Meanwhile Gilligan (FAA) kept saying the US is somehow special and different from the rest of the world and that's why we're dead last in implementing workable regulations.

Yes, the initial presentations were not riveting but the question and answer portion was pretty good. It became obvious that we are way behind other countries in use of drones and regulations. I thought the gentleman from the Farm Bureau had interesting comments. Man, Ed was extremely paranoid and is apparently proposing legislation to protect his back yard!
