ESD wrist strap

Any of you guys doing antenna mods, do you guys use ESD straps? I installed Itelite DBS02 and was very careful. Controller not working. That large ribbon cable was a pain putting back on and I suspect I may have damaged it. I have another on order waiting for it to arrive, I also bought the proper tools to put the new one on. Just curious if that is not my problem what the chances of me messing someting up by not using a strap are. Anyone else install this mod not using a strap? Success?

It is a static discharge wrist band or strap. You do not really need it for this. There is no harm in using one though. I have never used one.

Ah, I see. Thanks. No none for me. Not there yet.
I only wear an arm gaurd while in my archery/bowhunter mode... ;-)

I used to sport a naturally large Afro, perhaps that was why? Ha
Definately felt fully charged, & always ready to go.
