I recently purchased a P2V+ V 3.0. After about a 10-15 minute flight today I noticed the motors were too hot to touch. I took my P2V and flew it as long as I could until I had to land because of battery level. The motors were barely warm. With all I have read about problems with ESC's overheating and causing failure, I am concerned these may be the older boards. Is there any way to determine the version without opening the case. It is only 3 weeks old. Maybe serial number etc. Even if I open the cover not sure how I could determine which version they are. Thanks

No, I'm not aware of any way to determine the ESC version without opening the lid.

There was a thread going relating people's serial numbers to different ESC versions; maybe you can revive that.
