ESC testing slider?

What is the "esc beeping" button for exactly? It's under MC settings, scroll down to advanced settings. It's a little button. Just curious?

Well I pressed it and the motors twitched one by one making a loud beep, after two beeps I quickly pressed it off. Scared me.

Great question, as I am also interested in this ESC beeping. Concerned that its trying to tell us something is not right or in need of attention. Mine did this from day 1 when I slide this button to the on position.

Do not know what DJI have this for!!! BUT I will use it for a lost DJI finder...

When you crash it and an esc board goes bad or a motor it beeps constantly.

Mine is brand new and from day 1 before any flights if I slide that button to ESC beeping it would start the beeping of the motors, and then just continue. However there are no ESC errors or warnings on the screen. Any advise?

I just found this button last night as well. I pressed it and started watching the motors twitch and beeping. I had to watch it for a minute because it made kinda of a cool beat and watching the motors twitch. (I know I'm a geek)

Seems like it could be useful in locating the aircraft if it were lost but within range of the controller (audible Marco Polo), don't know why the motors twitch though.
