First post here. I've been curious since I started flying my Phantom Vision+ what would happen if one of the motors stopped working in flight? Anyone experience this?

If the motor fails totally then it will end in a rapid spin and crash... as follows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vs02CQpg1Vs#t=47

    Not me video... ;-)

Now if a motor starts to run slower.. then things get interesting.. but ultimately end in a crash!

You would need to determine the MTBF or mean time between failure for each component and replace or rebuild prior.

Stay away from sand... it will kill your motors!
