I used the method posted on here to dye my front props red. I'm hoping at altitude it will help to see aircraft orientation. Came out good and was very easy and cheap.

Re: Dyed my front props red.

I dyed mine red and blue. You can see the colored props at close range, but they are more difficult to distinguish at altitude. I recommend dyeing the other pair a darker color. My dark blue props are easier to distinguish now.

TMAN1985, which method did you use?

Re: Dyed my front props red.

There's really only one method of dyeing props. Whether you use liquid or powder is up to you (I prefer liquid, less messy). All it involves is cleaning your props, mixing the dye with some hot water, and letting the props soak for X amount of minutes (time depends on shade of color you want).

I posted instructions somewhere in my thread here: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=34292

Yep, I used the liquid dye. Cleaned them and let them sit for one hour. I bought black dye too. I may do the rear props in black.

In the words of Frannnk, that looks like Navvvvvvy blue.

Re: Dyed my front props red.

I used black dye on the back, and it came out Navy Blue. I'm happy with it.

Re: Dyed my front props red.

If you leave them in long enough you can get black.
