Just pulled up CNN and they had a report about drones hacking cell phone information and all the accounts it has linked to thru the Wi-Fi. The test was done by a friendly hacker experimenting near London.....This is very bad PR for all of us UAV owners and pilots. Thought 60 min. did a reasonable job about drones Sun. evening. Weird how they decided to tie the whole thing to drones...the technology (and security gap) they're demonstrating would have much more efficient ways of stealing the data than mounting it on a buzzing UAV with limited flight times and areas it could be used for this.

I guess he could also put that equipment on a cowboy hat, kite, boat, bicycle, bus, Palm tree, garden gnome, etc.
But that wouldn't draw as much attention to the article as putting it on a drone.

It's almost as stupid as those guys who stuck a taser on a drone last week.
