I live in an area full of gun nuts, and I constantly worry about somebody firing at my drone when it is flying. I avoid flying over people and houses, but somebody could still shoot it down from their property. One day i was flying and i heard a gunshot very close by and assumed it was for my drone, as the local hunters werent out. Has anybody here experienced someone opening fire on their drone and possibly hitting it?

Its a shame that people are destroying other peoples property and getting away with it

Do you live out in the county? I'm in the city where at least it's illegal to shot a gun. I would hate to have my bird shot down!

Can you meet these guys ahead of time and give them a heads up? Is there a hunters club or something....or gun shop. You could start asking around, find out who would think it is cool and who would want to shoot. Buy the worst guy some beer and show him how it works...

Use the stealth mode on the drone. Look for the menu item titled " Cloaking Device".
