Look at the video....1. the news cam is zoomed in on the drone...no where near the copter or drone.....2. it appears the drone is flying pretty low and at a safe alititude....certainly not up where the copter would be. I would not classify this a "close call"...more like "Media Hype"!
The media whores would never do that! Oh, wait....................
Actually, it was the copter crew who recorded the video - at least according to the report.
Copters fly low too sometimes.
Let's face it, drones will put many news copters out of business and they know it. They're highly incentivized to dramatize the danger.
If the helicopter was flying as low as the quad, they would have more issues with trees and telephone poles than the quad.
This is being sensationalized the same way the one was a few months back. It was no wheres near the news copter and they said it almost hit them, same a here. Like mentioned, full size aircraft fear the lowly drone for loss of revenue.
