Drone looses signal after 250m

Hello
I am a new drone user. The drone camera picture keeps distorting when i go past 250m
I have the lastest firm wire
The antennas in the right position
I have 12 satellites
I can see the drone
Granted there are trees but nothing compared to some videos i have seen on you tube.
Am i doing something wrong? Or is there a fault somewere?

Ah, I missed that. 250m of range does sound short for the P3P.
