Drivers & Assistant software

I tried to get Phantom 2 Vision Assistant v. 3.2 to talk to my aircraft. It would not even recognize it - and the software locked up.
Now I learned that I did not download the windows drivers. Oops.
Do I need to uninstall the Vision Assistant, download the drivers and reinstall the Assistant?

Also, is the RC Assistant different from the Vision Assistant? Do I need to install that too? If yes, are there any other little hidden issues that I need to know first?

Install the windows drivers and the phantom assistant should recognize the phantom OK.

There may be a "hidden" USB connector, inside of the RC box.
