Download and connect softwre ap

I recently purchased the Vision 2+. I have downloaded the software ap from DJI to check system settings, batteries etc. turn on the controller insert and turn on the battery, plug in the USB cord to the Phantom and the computer, select the downloaded ap. It comes up but the connection light at the left bottom of the screen does not come on. Scrolling through the various screens I come up with not connected.

Any Ideas would be of great help.

Are you using Windows? If so, did you download and install the DJI WIN driver from here?

I am using Windows XP on my PC, then downloaded to my laptop running Windows 7. I downloaded from DJI, will try using the link you attached and will try again. Thanks, hope this works.

Thanks msinger, I installed the ap but not the WIN driver. All systems and batteries look good no upgrades needed.

Trying to go through the learning process before first flight. Much appreciated.
