I have experienced a couple of issues with the downlink.

I temporary loose connection, and it always reconnects.
Some of the disconnects I don't even notice, because I watch the bird.

I always have full control over the bird, it's just the videofeed.

It's when I uploaded my logs to HealthyDrones I started to investigate the issues.

I've noticed it on 3 different devices, different versions of Dji GO (and Pilot)
Both firmware 1.3.20 and 1.4.0010
Airplane-mode on.

The only thing in common is the usb-cable, and of cource the RC

The video on the SD-card is fine, but the cache-video has glitches where it loose connection.

The original DJI usb-cable does not work at all.

I will try to replace the cable, but the weather havn't been good here for a while, so I haven't got around to test it.

and yes, I've done a factory reset on the devices, new install etc.

Some of the flights are in the middle of nowhere, with now interference.

Anyone else have this issue ?
Any recommendations ?

A couple of test-flights I've done showing the issue;

In case 1 & 2 it looks as if it is possible that you may have some physical interference with LOS (line of sight).
In case 1 with your launch point at A, your trajectory takes you over the top of the house. You may have had the signal temporarily blocked by the eaves of the roof and then you reoriented and regained signal immediately.

Same kind of thing in case 2. From your home point, it looks like LOS could have been temporarily interrupted by the trees.

As for case 3. The map is too small for me to get any idea of what may be there.

Your altitudes are very low. You can extend and increase range by increasing altitude. It makes for better LOS

So my best guess is temporary interruption of LOS.

ope you are right, but I'm not completely convinced

Case 1, maybe interference, but I was standing on the deck just right of D
Case 2, B and E are above the trees and I was at homepoint A, should be free LOS
Case 3, I was walking behind the bird, flying low over a creek.

Full kontrol over the bird all the time, just the videofeed failing.

Another sample.

Testflight in strong wind over a football field.
No physical interference what so ever.

I'll do some more testing as soon as the weather clears.

You can get those errors and warnings just from pointing the controller at the ground briefly.

Ok, had a few more issues with this and reported it to DJI support Europe.
Seems to be a warrenty case.

My bird is going back to the nest....

Hello Sir,
I am sorry to hear about your problem.
I am afraid that we might need it here. Please, contact your dealer and ask for a warranty service. They will assist you in sending the item here. The process takes currently form 15 to 20 working days as of the item is received here.
Thank you for your kind understanding.
Best regards

Wait what? A warranty case for something so widely common as the temporary loss of FPV? I'm thinking there must be more to this story.

My bird is finally back from warrenty-repair in Germany :)
The Repair Receipt says:
Phantom 3 - Part34 Aircraft, Detect Result: Chip Damaged, Replaced with: Accessories Structural
Not sure what it means, but I hope everything is ok now.
Just received it at my office, so I haven't had any chance to fly yet.
