P3 Firmware Downgrade, then Update?

I've had my P3P for about two months now. Not sure what firmware it came with. I have Go v2.4.2 (Android) and l'm having trouble updating my RC. DJI Go isn't letting me update through the app. Should I try to downgrade the RC to v1.3.xxx firmware then update to v1.4xxx, then v1.5xxx?

I'm not very tech savvy, and it took a while for it to dawn on me that I might have firmware older than v1.3.2.
Decided to give the above method a try, and I'm happy to report that it worked. Installed v1.3.2 successfully, then the Go app took me from that straight to v1.5xxx. All up to date now. What settings are important to check now that I have the latest firmware?
