You have no 3D from the aircraft - better off with the Moverio BT200 FPV and can see the Bird at the same time.

I use them and like them. I like they are adjustable and they are immersive. Not as immersive as say other goggles with 45 degrees of view but they still work quite well and are very easy to set up, can be used for other purposes say watching movies on a plane etc. I feel I fly better with them because all of your attention is on the flying. It is also quite fun to have someone fly along with you. You definitely need the new controller or old one modified so you can control the camera without taking them off.

Are they worth the coin? well I think so because how else can you this great FPV experience, yes it not HD but it still is pretty great. you could go with other systems such as light bridge, go pro separate transmitter etc but you still in same$$ ball park. These are easy to set up and work. I would not expect them to stay relevant for more than a year or two something better will always be coming up.
