    No - you don't need to buy a cord because if you have an iPad Air then you already have a Lightning/USB cable. But you might want to buy a shorter one, just to keep the setup tidy.

    You could use the cord that came with your iPad Air. It's too long though -- so, you'd need to wrap it up somehow. The Cambond cord is the perfect length. You'll see soon ;)

    I use this cable for both my P3 and P4 transmitters.. Its great, I hate seeing those rolled up 6 foot long lightning cables hanging off transmitters

    My P4 came with the little short cord that connects my air 2 to the controller. (bought from Drone World)
