Like the title says... Thanks for any information input
Yes it does (pop it into FPV and it won't).
You may have to check your settings you may have it disabled if you have FPV (first person view) turned on. Then as you fly the gimbal is locked to get the visual of the way a pilot would see doing the banks and turns of the aircraft.
It might look odd when the Phantom is static but that's how it keeps the video smooth - by moving with the Phantom.
If the previous comments confused you, just make sure your gimbal mode is Follow (not FPV) if you want smooth video.
Wow thank for all the great info guys ALOHA
can someone tell me how to switch from "follow" to "fpv"...I know it is supposed to be in the camera setting on the DJI app, but I can't find it anywhere.
In the DJI app under settings, there is a toggle to go into FPV mode when the toggle is off it allows the gimbel to operate and be controlled. We hen toggle on it locks the gimbel for FPV mode so view is what the aircraft does.
I appreciate you trying to help...but I've looked all over...where specifically in the app is it?
There is flexability for the gimbel to swing a little left and right as the quad turns but you have no control, over left and right only up and down controls are available.
Go to settings and scroll down till you see FPV Mode
