Do the DJI Menus change once Phantom is airborne?

I often find myself searching for menus that I could swear I've seen when Phantom is on the ground or not turned on. Does the menu selection change depending on connection to the Phantom or some other scenario? I'll often play with settings indoors just to become more familiar with where things are located only to find that I can locate the same when flying.

Should I assume that all menus and options showing don't change whether its on the ground or flying?

I wish I did again, it just appears things become more difficult to locate while flying, perhaps due to the distraction of having to keep a watchful eye on Phantom. I'm waiting for some "smart ***" to write in explaining that the only changes to the menus occur at noon and 5pm when it changes from breakfast to lunch or from lunch to dinner.
