Cherrs i'll have a look tomorrow. And say you crash your p2 and go#pro etc will they cover the cost etc ?

Ballymena HI
No, only Public Liabilty from recreational flying. Check your house insurance, some policies here do cover accidental damage to radio control stuff, but its in the small print. Mine currently does not cover it.

And for those that do have liability coverage make sure it covers hobby RC and what the limits are. Some policies have significantly lower limits unless you have a rider for higher coverage for hobby stuff.

I have contacted lutece7 and he has confirmed that he does not have liability insurance for his UAV. He was posting about a totally different kind of insurance.

I get 4 million liability from a very reputable company that specializes in film and photogrsphy busuness for uner $600 a year. You are follish not to have it.

I joined http://rcapa.net which is "a professional association of dedicated remote control aerial photographers." Through them you can purchase commercial liability from Hull & Usher http://www.hillusher.com and my annual premium is $1456.00 a year for a $1,000,000.00 policy. You have to be a member of RCAPA to qualify.

I just signed up for ama

I just wish AMA would give us some sort of insurance documentation to carry around. I just asked for permission to fly in a historical cemetery site, and while they did approve it, I could tell they weren't fully sold on the insurance existing just based on a flimsy paper membership card.

I saw this ad this morning for insurance specific to rc aerial photography. This should cover you if you are doing it for profit I expect.

https://www.aerialpak.com/details.jsp

I don't work for this company and I'm not clear on the cost. I will use the AMA because this is just a hobby for me.
I'm passing the info on because I've seen the question asked a few times on how to get coverage in the US if you aren't flying as a hobbyist.
