I step outside and see this coming in.
*Returns P2V+ to the garage.*
No flying for me today.
Looks like storms all day for us here in the NW Panhandle. Don't you hate it when you're so stoked to go flying and the weather changes your plans for you?
That's when I like ta go up and get pictures !
When I see it coming like that !!
I wish I could have! And that is a fantastic idea! But within 10 minutes of taking that picture with my cell phone, it was raining HARD. The incoming winds when a storm blows in from off the Gulf like this are in excess of 20mph on the ground. At a 75' flight level, they're significantly higher. Since I did an advanced calibration yesterday, I didn't want to risk flying her in that kind of wind without a few more test flights.
Yep ..smart not going up till ya see just how it's going to do after working on it !!
I can fight the wind most of the time where I'm at and get stuff like this
And have gone up and the rain start and almost not get down in time but I love that rush
Being where you are at though is a different story !
That thread is hilarious!
In addition to doing work on it yesterday, I only have about an hour of overall flight time on this particular aircraft. It will be a few more hours of experience before I'm brave enough to face an incoming storm!
Ya it's OT bro ...we kinda cut up in here ya might say
You do have to be personal with your bird ..our I do .. to trust it in doing some stuff !
I see ya live in a nice place to get some great shots !
Yep, you gotta know when to tuck-tail and run... into the garage. We usually have light winds until the cell arrives. By light I mean less than 20.
Feel free to jump in with some laughs, the thread is a kick.
Yep it is Blackhawk and me Wy's sidekick ! I wear a bird on my head
I was wearing my old hat in that pic...
Now I got this hat
Hey, I want to wear something on my head too !
