DJI Phantom 3 crash, but why?

The inspire and P3 have a feature if the compass gets bad data then it flicks the craft into P Atti then your on your own flying it, and it does this to prevent such thing as a flyaway. While i do think the P3 has a more sensitive compass maybe than the inspire with this safety feature is another story and topic.
fplvert, while you point out the bit you posted, it has been said again and again by blade that doing a compass cali every flight may do more harm than good.

I have a P2V+ V3. My quad will convey, through FPV monitor AND the drone itself, if the compass if off and needing a calibration. From my research, the P3 does this and more. It would be foolish of anyone to take off and fly when not getting green across the board IMO.

Guys please less of the troll thing, let's try figure this out. The op obviously doesn't have English as a first language. It does sound like a noobie error but come on lads we have more brain cells than that. Let's come to a logical conclusion and if it's a troll we can slate him but if it's innocent let's be nice and see of we can use our joined knowledge to help and figure it out so nobody makes the same mistake

So let me ask you this as a serious question. Just how many times should it be asked for a person to give more information rather than their insistence that something with the aircraft went wrong?

Come on man don't be a Douché, if it's an honest question treat it like that. When you have been around these forums long enough you kinda give the benefit of the doubt. I get slated all the time for giving advice and luckily for new flyers I haven't left. Don't be so angry and maybe try help once in a while. If not go back to lurking

Sorry but what kind of information do you need? I just have this machine one day!

Yes if it shows you need to cal before a flight then of course do it, i was talking about the new feature both the inspire and p3 share, which is if the craft picks up compass error after take off or mid flight then it flicks it into p atti. Older phantoms do not have this feature.

Please do some research on how to upload your flight data. There are many posts here and otherwise.

The least of which is your lack of personal observations. Also, did you ever buy and fly a quad without GPS mode before this P3? Did you ever fly anything prior to this quad? What is your experience level. What did you do for researching prior to opening the box and flying this quad?

NOT trying to be confrontational. However, knowing your experience level will allow people here to give you a truly honest assessment of your flight. Having the flight data, I know I would PERSONALLY know how to upload all relevant information if I just had a $1200+ quad crash, will do wonders for helping others to analyze the events leading up to the crash.

I've had to do battle damage assessments and civilian flight crash assessments for the last 15 years. I'm a pretty detail oriented person when it comes to these things. Don't take it personally. Use this experience to ensure your next craft hasn't the limited lifespan as this one.

Luckily, your limited scope doesn't provide me with any inclination to do anything other than what I've asked of the OP.

This ISN'T personal. Perhaps you should step back and realize where some people base their experiences before making a personal attack and simple assumptions. just because I don't word things the way YOU would doesn't make me any less helpful.

Thanks.

Don't stop asking honest questions, don't reply to people who are being dicks. If you are a troll we will ban you and after that I hope you can enjoy flying
Okay, what do you mean by troll? Somebody who is joking? Well, I am not
No a troll is someone who posts pointless comments and we have experienced people doing this and then posting stupid porn on this site. Not even good porn haha. All I advise is to ask questions honestly on the best English you can type. There are people here who love to fight online, another example of a troll

If you open the DJI Pilot app and click user center you should be able to see your flight log. Upload the last flight to YouTube and post it here on your thread.

While my older Phantom may not "flick" my aircraft into ATTI mode, it DOES let me know if I've entered an area of high compass variation. I'll get an error code that my GPS and/or compass is no longer working correctly. At that point, I have enough experience to enter ATTI mode to return home under my own power.

Again, I don't know why some folks tend to think I'm being confrontational. I've nothing to add if that what you insist on thinking. I want facts. Data. And that is all. The lack thereof does none of us any good.

I know all this, i was simply trying to give anyone with a P3 some input to how the craft works with the compass and any errors they might receive and what happens when they do.

Okay, thanks. So how can I upload it to Youtube? I dont have an Youtube account or something..

Grrrrrr I deal with assholes like you on this page every day of the week. Can you not just be nice to a fellow member and try help? I do what I do and try help out when I can with my experiences that are a little bit more qualifications than yours. Stop being a ****, it's a help forum. If you don't want to help that's cool but if you don't want to help just stop posting and being a ****. You won't get anymore replies or responses from me, only people that need help will. Laters ***** x

I prefer to receive normal reactions. Why no video's no pictures? I just got the DJI Phantom 3.
Read the manual and learn how to shut down the motors with the controller. The app will not override the controller. You have to have the basics of starting and stopping the copter before you ever even attempt to fly it.:eek::eek: You probably should do about a week of ground school on reading the manual and watching how to videos--IMHO:)

There is a check list that you need to go through thoroughly before ever activating the motors to make sure the P3 is ready to take off:) Back to the basics-- Good luck

DJI should require a Phantom's pilot license before they sell one.

I didn't receive a manual, only a quick start guide and a safety guidelines description. I downloaded and printed the manual few minutes ago. I will read it:)

I think it is safe to assume the OP has no previous experience and did not RTFM. Hammering him in a foreign language really isn't going to help.

How quickly we forget where we were when we started out.
