the upgrade would be the option to put in rates and expo, especially on yaw if it is like the P2. getting smooth pans without pixilation is not very easy and takes a lot of practice.
 
I read on the website that the camera and gimbal are non removable. This seems pretty bad for the user. So if you crash your new p3 and bend the gimbal then your out the whole unit or at least you have to send the whole thing back to them to get fixed.
I found the H3-3D gimbals are fairly easy to straighten out. You need the right tools and some patience. However, I don't know if that would translate to this (P3) Gimbal.
