I recently purchased the dji avl58. I know it comes with the tx and rx. The AVL58 video shows them using a monitor with the RX plugged into it. I've seen around the forums people using bosscam and black pearls and was wondering if they were using these as the receiver in replacement of the avl58 RX? From what I've read you can get a cheaper monitor and use the avl58 rx or you can purchase a monitor with the rx built in. Is this correct? What are the main benefits to have a bosscam or pearl with everything built in? Is it better reception or overall cleanliness and lack of wires?

You can use a monitor with a built in receiver. I do.
The main benefit is ease. The black pearl is just one device I need to manage. If I were to use a separate receiver I would need to cable it up and then I need power for it all too. The Black Pearl has a built in battery too.
