DJI App won't connect with my brand new P3

Just got my new P3P. All OK out of the box until I try to connect the DJI App on my Android tablet to the Phantom. Done everything I can think of including using another Android device, different USB cord and re-installing the App. No luck. Anyone out there who can help me?
 
And what should all of us Apple users that are having the same problem do, since there is no option to enable USB debugging on Apple devices?
Dump the app, delete the DJI folder, reinstall the app.
 
The first thing we've all tried was deleting the app and reinstalling it. What exactly do you mean by "delete the DJI folder". There is no DJI folder with Apple products.

Then I guess it doesn't apply and you've tried everything...
