I made two Sunshades myself. The white one for iPad mini was made by a paper lunchbox from Container store($2). The brown one for iPhone was a bakery box(free) from Central market. Both of them are foldable for easy transport

20 min to make, cost $3 and is extremely effective and strong. It will not blow off and is very durable. Correx signage board (plastic cardboard), black felt and hook/loop strips.

I made one out of a cereal box and black spray paint.
