I could have sworn I read some instructions in a forum thread a while back on how to force DJI Go 4 to use Google maps instead of Here maps (on Android at least) by some manipulation of the directory structure. I've searched and searched and can't find it, does anyone have a link?

Thanks, I had found that one actually but removing the storage permission entirely isn't really a solution as it causes all sorts of other unintended negative consequences, as one might expect. There was another procedure someone described that involved altering the DJI app directory structure in a way that prevented Here maps from caching properly and consequently causes the DJI GO app to use Google. I might be mis-remembering but I'm at least halfway certain I read the procedure. How well it worked is another thing but wanted to give it a try, if I can find it that is. It's possible that it was in another forum but I think it was here.
