Dedicated tablet for DJI P3A

When you are at home, or connected to the Web, you can set Cache Maps in the App. Scroll around on your flying area, and spread the map out, to give you the broadest view, or best details. Now when you go to the area to fly, even without "GPS" the map will be available for you to use.
It's another awesome feature of this incredible package.

Get an Inspire 1 device holder it will fit on the Phantom 3 remote and your full size tablet will be more stable as its metal not plastic for the main anchor / bar.

I could have sworn these were $35 a few weeks back...went to order one, and can't locate them for less than $45-$50. Where did you guys pick yours up? iPad Air with stock holder...tried cranking it down with channel lock pliers, still way too wobbly. I'm over it.

Edit: I guess if I'd look beyond Amazon. Just found on Adorama for $30!

Im planning to buy a tablet only for use with my Phantom. The iphone that i use is too small, the tablet i use is 12.5 " (too big) and windows 10 (not compatible)

So the decision is to buy Ipad or Google nexus. Reading similiar topics most people say IOS devices are better compatible ("work better") than Android tablets with DJI P3.

Is this trend to continue in future? IPads are quite expensive and somehow a shame to buy it only for P3A display. But i dont want to choose worse solution and regret later.

If you would have dedicated device for P3A would it be IOS or Android
Terrible support for Android, read other posts.Android gets updated last.

Hmmm

Have you used one with the Phantom 3? How does it work?

I'm using a iPad Mini and it works great, (get last year model to save some money)

I have NO idea how it works, at all.
Have not even seen one in real life, sorry.

I'm using a Nexus 7 2013, which works well for me.

Where can I find the 4gb version? The link doesn't work.

Sorry about the link.

This is the model:
ASUS ZenPad S Z580CA

Make sure you get the C1-model, not the B1 (slower).

Not yet available, pre-orders only, for example here:
$299 at B&H

Seems ASUS is aiming high with this one, spec wise.
Lets see if they manage to make it a hit, and for example keep the usual crap ware out of the deal.
But at that price and with those specs it seems pretty interesting.

Z580CA-C1-BK (black)
Z580CA-C1-WH (white)

64GB storage
4GB ram
64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 @ 2,3 GHz
8" 2048×1536 IPS display
$299

Optional digital pen with 1024 levels of pressure for $29.99 extra

Any idea when that might be released? Sounds interesting.

Email regarding order. Boo
I picked up the 2gb RAM version and flying my P3 with it was a horribly leggy experience. I wonder if the 4GB version is any better.

Definitely taking this thing back to best buy. I switched to my friends iPhone 6 during a shoot and it was buttery smooth.

Yes I currently fly with an iPad Air 2 but bought it try for a dedicated alternative. We shall see.

So you have no clue of what model you picked up?

What was the processor speed ?
32 or 64 bit OS?
Intel® Atom™ x3-C3200 or Qualcomm® MSM8929 or Intel® Atom™ Z3580?

Leaving this kind of info out makes your post pretty useless.

When I said the 2gb model, I assumed whoever was reading my post would know it was the latest Intel 64 bit version paired with 2gb of ram. They only sell so many at best buy.

Hope that helps.
