  So its scary.

I packed my phantom into a backpack that had a little bit of sand in it which I found out afterwords. Anyways when I rotate my blades, the motors have this weird clicking sound that sounds like sand is in them. When I fly it now, when lowering the phantom at a fast fall rate, it gets this un-recoverable death wobble that starts out light, but then drops like a rock to the ground. Any idea what's going on? Do I need to replace the motors, or is it something else inside there?

I'm guessing you're experiencing VRS. Try upgrading to the latest firmware that was released yesterday. I'd suggest opening up your Phantom and use an air compressor to blow out any sand or dirt. While open, clean and lube your motors. If you are still getting the click you described, it might warrant getting new motors.
