DBS question

I have a quick question regarding the DBS mod for the P3S. Does the DBS mod improve the fluidity of the FPV signal? With stock configuration, the signal tends to get choppy/laggy at around 300-500 feet. I am hoping the DBS mod will not only improve the distance but also cut down dramatically on these type of effects. Advice from anyone with first hand knowledge would be greatly appreciated!!

The weather has been crazy in nh but today is nice I'm going to a more remote area after work today to do a little testing. I hope to get somewhere around 4500-5000 ft .I got my case from eBay yesterday. If you are looking for a case don't buy the armor waterproof one I had to modify it to make my controller work and I don't think it's waterproof, uneven cover gap. Thing was like 200 bucks.
