DBS antenna question

I bought some quick push on adapters for the wires that go onto the antenna so it can be easily taken off. My question is what happens if you accidentally turn on the controller while the antenna isn't plugged in yet?

Without the antenna the signal has nowhere to go and could damage the TX , now how long it has to be on before the damage could happen is the question

The more connections you have the more signal you might lose . Is the way I see it anyway .
Using those would be a good way to fry it if you were in a hurry and forgot to hook them up . .JMO
