Damaged drone?$

Just recovered P3P from woods after bizarre fly away @ 1 month ago. DJI Has since sent me replacement aircraft. Other than cracks around shell doesn't look bad. The battery was swollen so I disposed of. I'm sure there's some water damage as we've had rain. My question is can I safely try another one of my batteries without the risk of damaging a good battery? Any precautions or steps before trying? Just want to see if it fire ups and gimbal moves so I can sell for parts. Not interested in relinking RC as it is now working with replacement. Any suggestions greatly appreciated or anyone interested in purchasing let me know. As always thanks much.

Lucky you.
If I were you, I'll open it up and see if there's any corrosion on the mainboard inside as it's been sitting outdoors for 1 month.
