I live in Canada and have ordered a phantom 3 Pro. We are planning a holiday to Arizona in the new year. I wonder if I will be able to cross the border with my P3 since it will not be registered with the FAA. Can I register it even if I live in Canada?

US laws don't allow the FAA to register foreign owned aircraft.
But you can folllow the same procedure and instead of saying you are now registered - they say you now have a certificate of ownership.
Same thing - different name - and you can get your $5 refunded too.
