Counter lines overlay?

If you look in their tutorials and help, you'll find an article about using QGIS to develop contour lines (Using QGIS to make custom Contour Maps).
Have you ever use the terrain awareness feature or the altitude offset feature in MME? I mapped an area with pretty big (100ft) elevation changes but didn't use any of those features. I just flew at a constant 230ft due to battery constraints.
Haven't tried any of those. Still trying to resolve a problem I'm having with one of my birds. All of the exif data looks good, but elevations in the finished map are compressed sometimes more than 1/2. That is a building the is 8.5-9 ft tall is shown as 2.5-3! And the estimated average height above ground is reported at 125 ft when it's actually 200+! Tried a second bird, and elevations are better, but average height still not right (150 ft instead of 200). MME hasn't offered any reasonable explanation or fix.
