Correct Firmware Upgrade Procedure P4

Today I unpacked my newly delivered P4. I've not owned anything like this before so it's new to me.

After powering up both the RC and Aircraft, they connect and I get a message 'Slide to Upgrade' so I do and get the message Upgrade Successful.

I notice there are cables in with my DJI product that users are using for upgrading.. I have not used these cables and don't see their use as the upgrade procedure I just experienced seemed to do it all via the app (I presume)?!

Am I missing something? What is the correct procedure for making sure all components (aircraft, RC) are fully up to date?

You likely upgraded the RC only. You'll need to connect the phantom via USB to your iPad or Android tablet to upgrade the craft. The tablet will need an internet connection to perform the upgrade.

Wow!! After reading other user posts I did the upgrade in less than 1/4 of the steps shown in that very convoluted guide!!! That guide is ridiculous!!! lol
